- Description
- The Hindu Kush Karakoram Pamir landscape Initiative is a transboundary effort between Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Tajikistan that is being developed with support from and in a collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Governments of Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Tajikistan; international development agencies; local organizations and community members to formulate a long-term conservation and development plan. The participation and involvement of a wide range of stakeholders, including local agro-pastoral communities, is essential for the development of a plan that balances the objectives of conserving this fragile ecosystem and fulfilling the needs of communities reliant on the area’s natural resources.
