- Description
- The proposed corridor between the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary and Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is about 26 km long. It is bounded in the east by the forest of Kalimpong Division along the Teesta River. A very good patch of forest belonging to a number of villagers of Turuk Khasmahal busty (small village) already exist connecting Mahaldiram forest with the Turuk extension in the corridor. The corridor is prone to landslides with settlements and forest villages in close proximity.
