The TSNR-JDNP biological corridor has been endorsed by the Royal Government of Bhutan as an integral part of the Bhutan Biological Conservation Complex (B2C2). B2C2 encompasses interconnected area of more than 15,000 sq. km in Bhutan with twelve biological corridors and nine protected areas. The TSNR-JDNP biological corridor has the potential to considerably facilitate ecological processes, wildlife movement, and gene flow within the entire B2C2, as well as across the border in India. The corridor is 30 km in length and has an area of 149 sq. km. The corridor falls within the Bji geog (Haa Dzongkhag) and Tsento geog (Paro Dzongkhag) in western Bhutan. Two major tributaries namely, Pachhu and Haachhu, that feed to the Wangchu River System, have its catchments in this biological corridor.
