Description
The Neora Valley National Park is bordered in the east by west Bhutan and comprises of a relatively inaccessible patch of late successional forest that includes subtropical mixed broadleaf forest, lower temperate evergreen forest, upper temperate mixed broadleaf forest and Rhododendron forest. Human pressure within the national park is limited, however adjacent areas support plantation of tea and Cinchona (a tree used to produce quinine). It is the least explored protected areas in the region and is believed to have the richest biodiversity.
