Updated Date: 9/8/2020 2:31:04 PM

Water Vulnerability Index (VI): Water resource vulnerability accounts the main threats to water resources and their development and water utilization dynamics; and the capacity in coping with these potential threats to water availability. Four sub-components such as resource stress (RS), development pressure (DP), ecological health (EH), management challenges (MC)] are combined into water vulnerability index (VI) metrics. Water vulnerability index (VI) score ranges from 0 to 1 as follows: lessthan 0.2 = low vulnerability (healthy basin) 0.2- 0.4 = moderately vulnerable 0.4-0.5 = relatively high vulnerability 0.5-0.6 = high vulnerability 0.6-0.7 = very high vulnerability greater than 7 = highly degraded basin
